North shore tornado

Yesterday afternoon, at 3:00pm o clock. The tornado hit Albany in Auckland’s north shore. The tornado struck just as the bells rang after school, but none of the kids got hurt. The tornado made cars fly around and made a car fly into a parking spot.


The tornado was devastating, and trashed the north shore. Everybody was in panic, and chaos struck the city. The people had adrenalin pumping, they were running as fast as they could so they didn't get sucked into the twisting tornado.It caused a lot of damage, at the same time it was pouring with rain.

Straw towers

Today we had a challenge, it was making straw towers, the group with the the tallest tower won the challenge. our teacher got the idea from a video that came from a school in America, the only materials we were aloud to use was, 75 straws, and a roll of tape. Room 13 also did it to introduce us to our new topic for the term”Bigger better faster stronger”.

We split up into groups, and started making our straw towers. Me and my Friends grouped up to make a straw tower, we had lots of ideas, and we kept on moving from the table to the ground, but stayed on the table. Our plan was to start off with a foundation to keep it stable.

But we had a problem, we were running out of time and we were not finished.But in the end me and my groups tower was the tallest out of them all, and we came 1st place, so we took a photo of us with our creation.

Glee

Last Friday, at assemble we watched a glee performance. The directer that put it all together Ms M, and Ms Lavakula that made the dance. Their items was about the Point England way, some of them had stage fright but the rest of them were confidence. There were lots of different things going on at the same time like sport, a ballerina was dancing, and some other stuff. After that item was done, Lepa did a rap about the Point England way, he used these korero’s, Stop look and listen, Stop think and do, wear it with pride.It was fun and awesome!!. They put a lot of effort into it, They rehearsed after school, and at lunch time on Thursday's

Earlier this morning,we transitioned our blogs into Google apps. We were eager to do it. We had to log into Google docs, because our blogger user name and password were the same as our Google docs user name and password. So the new system makes life easier because we only need to remember one user name and password. The new system is cool!!!!.

The other night there was a meteor, that flew across Auckland to Wellington. It was so loud that it made a sonic boom, like something had exploded. It was at 11:00 pm, and illuminated the sky with a brilliant flashing white and blue light.The meteor was the size of a desk. Every one received reports about it on the news.

In 1969 three astronauts traveled to the moon in a space ship. Half of the spaceship,went round the moon the other half took two people and landed. Every living things need air,and water,but the moon had none of it,so the men brought there own. They brought some soil back,but found nothing. So they discovered that there was no living life on the moon.
