Holidays

In the holidays I mostly stayed home watching movies, playing games and other things like that. My favorite thing was watching movies. I watched a lot of movies like Despicable me, Megamind and Eighty Days Around the World. My favorite movie was Megamind, I watched it over and over again.
My favourite character was Minion. Minion is a fish that Megamind’s parents gave him before they sent him to Earth. They sent him to Earth because his planet had been sucked up by a black hole. There was also another planet that got sucked up by the black hole and they sent their baby. But that baby turned out to be a superhero!

Captain Krabby Patties

"Arrrr me harty!!!” I am Captain Krabby Patties, I Love burgers especially the ones Spongebob Squarepants makes. He named it after me ‘Krabby Patties’. My favourite basketball team is the Toronto Raptors they are AWESOME!!. I have hundreds of men working for me. I’m about to sail the sixth sea. I have a beard, a little mustache, my hair is a little bit long, and my ship is really big. My arch enemy, Captain NoSwagg has tried to attack my ship millions of times, with his evil sidekick Lieutenant underpants. We have had over one hundred battles, and I have won most of them. My ship is the best because I have lots of new things, it's like a speedboat but bigger, it has lots of food on board, and much more like computers. It also runs on diesel so I have to fill it up before we leave.

“Lets head out” I shouted to my scallywags, ‘2 year later’ we were sailing through the seventh sea, something hit the boat. I told one of my men to see what it was,”AHHH, Its a giant Octopus” He screamed. “Nothing to worry about” I said, as I drew out my flaming sword, as I walked to look down, boom the octopus hit my ship again. So I just sped in my boat like the fastest car in the world, Just before we got to the island our boat ran out of diesel, so we had to swim away to the island. Swimming to the island I heard something splashing behind, I turned around and the octopus was back so we swam as fast as we could.

‘15 minutes later’ Finally we got to the island, “X marks the spot” I said. We searched and searched but couldn’t find anything. “Let's sleep here scallywags” I shouted to my men. Waking up to birds to screeching, we walked back through the forest. “What's that” i said, “We don’t know” my men said when we started walking, a bull came out charging to us as we ran the bull suddenly disappeared. “There!!” One of my men yelled. As we dug up the spot I found.... Nothing. “Nooooo” I shouted, my men had a look on google maps, “Were on the wrong island” my men continued “Its over there”.

Cars

I like cars, there are millions of cars in the world, my favorite car is a Nissan Skyline. I really like the Nissan Skyline from a movie called 2 Fast 2 Furious. I also like Mitsubishi Evolution iv, and a Dodge Charger.

Did you know that there are more than one type of racing. There are drag racing, that is when you a have too use Manuel. Manuel is when you have too shift the gears manually. Drifting, that is when at each corner you have too pull the handbrake and turn of course. There are two more, they are called sprint and circuit, circuit is when you do more than one lap and sprint is when you only do one lap.

One Tree Hill

“Come on”, I shouted to my friend, as he slowly slid down into the crater. “ Everybody go to Mr Marks” Miss King said. Everyone started to race to Mr Marks. Climbing out of the crater, I kept on slipping. “ Another hill? “ Yes”, I said. Almost all of the girls screamed.

Ice cream comets

As our teacher explained what we were doing this afternoon, she told us we were going to make ice cream comets. The ingredients that we used were, chocolate ice cream, ice cream cones, and hundreds and thousands or crushed cookies. I wondered if it would look realistic.

Finally the time passed, and our teacher told us the instructions. First we had to sprinkle hundreds and thousands on our hands and then our teacher was going to put a chunk of chocolate ice cream over the hundreds and thousands, then Whaea Janeille put the cone on top of the ice cream on our hands.

It was time to eat the delicious treat, we did it group by group, my group was first. As the sprinkles went over my hand it left a crumbling mess on the ground. It was freezing on my hands, it was like my hands were frozen. But it turned out delicious.

I want to make it again some day. It was really nice.

Immersion Assembly

From Immersion Assembly Term 4 2011

Outta This world, it’s this terms topic. At Immersion assembly Mr Burt introduced the topic, with a story. It showed us about how the constellations in the sky made a hook, Maui’s hook. If you’re in Hawaii, the hook in the sky would show the way to New Zealand.

Lots of the teachers dressed in customs. Some of them had dressed as, Ballerinas, some had Alien masks, The Sun, and Space Helmets. My favorite costume was Mr Barks Alien mask, it made him look like a real Alien.
My favorite team item was team five. In their video, their faces were on some of the people on Star Wars faces. It looked really funny because Mr Harris played a girl in the video. Everybody laughed.

It was a funny immersion assembly. I wonder if they will do something similar next year.

Alfajorcitos

Que bueno son los alfajorcitos. Muy delicioso. Room 13 made these special treats, to learn more about Argentina, they are tasty. When I tasted it, I almost dribbled.

Alfajorcitos are made out of, biscuits, coconuts, and dulce de leche. To make Dulce de leche you have to get condensed milk, leave it in the can with the lid on and put it in boiling water for 3 hours, when its done you have to cool it down for another 3 hours when its cooled down, you put it on the biscuits and roll it in shredded coconuts..

The Alfajorcitos tasted delicious, it was so nice that I wanted two of them, but sadly we all only got one. The biscuit crunchy, and the dulce de leche made it smooth and sticky, the coconut made it even better, but I didn't get lots of it on the sides when we rolled them. I want to make them again some day.

They are one of the best snacks I've ever tasted before. It was like eating a bunch of lollies.

Aussie Rules

Every Thursday, we learn some skills that you could use in Aussie Rules. We are taught by two professional AFL players, their names are Megan, and Allysa. Waiting to start, they told us the instructions.

Last weeks warm up game we played was called bumper jumper. In bumper jumper you have to jump on one leg, and hit your partner with your arms on your side, if their other leg goes on the ground they have to swap to their other leg, and their partner gets a point.

After that warm up game, we had another warm up game, we had to stay with the same partner and take turns. We had to run with the ball and bounce it at the same time. The first time we did it we walked. The second time we went, we had to bend down on one knee and bounce the ball. But the third time we ran, it was kind of easy.

Finally we played a game, it was called Kick ball, it is like baseball except we used an AFL ball. Before we got to play, one person from each team had to play rock, paper, scissors, to see which team ether kicked or fielded. My team fielded fist. When the other team kicked the ball, we had to catch it, and hand pass it back to Megan, then your team will get the point. Then it was our turn to kick. I scored 3 points, but the other team won in the end.

I can't wait till this Thursday, the thing I like about Aussie Rules is playing the games. I hope this weeks game and warm ups are cool too.

The chihuahua and the toddler
