Our inventions

What was the problem and how did you fix it? There was a problem at our school which were the fields, it was always muddy and we had to fix it. So we are trying to build a foot washing machine so that when we're muddy we can wash our feet. We chose this project because we are trying to make a difference about our dirty legs. We’re trying to make our fields better by putting a sign saying the fields are closed.
We
are inventing a foot washing machine because we have muddy fields and
every one has dirty feet. We’re just making a diorama to show the things
where we want to put it. When we do finish we just have to give it to
the asocial principle and he will pay the money to get all the stuff
that we need.

Our bombed tables

We have three tables that used to look ordinary until, Larsen Tito-Taylor, and some of his friends put some Graffiti on them. But first we had to decide which words, and colours he was going to put on them. So we decided what he was going to put on them by using a class survey, on a google form, using our net books. So the words that we used were, Learn, Create , and Share on the tables. And to use the colours Purple, and yellow. We finally got our bombed tables back, and the tables look really cool. The chihuahua and the toddler

Frighteningly trembling the chihuahua said The I'm scared of the ghost."
The adorable toddler scribbled on the wall while saying " Go ga ga ga."

My fear

Stuck on the wall like glue, I fearfully climbed up the rocks. I was breathless on the way up, as I was high from the ground. Gasping for air, I was just about to let go, when I suddenly realised, I was almost at the top. My foot slipped and I fell.”Ahhhh” I shouted as I dropped to the ground.

Adding detail to sentences

Today we had to make 3 sentences using the words invented the space ship, we had to add detail to those words and we did, it was fun but took long.

Swimming

As we slipped into the pool We splashed and kicked to the other side and back, when we came back we choked on a lung full of water and our eyes were stinging red. When we got back we coughed and spluttered.

Rube Goldberg

Last Friday we made marble tracks. Our class got the idea from, a pro at making marble runs, and his name is, Rube Goldberg. The people in my group was, Me, Rocky, Jabez, Ulil, and Vaifoa. My groups plan was for the marble to roll down the cardboard, and roll into a hole in the cardboard, and roll down another hill made of cardboard, and hit the domino's.When we were finally done, we told the teacher that it was done. But, it didn't work, so we made some modifications and it didn’t work again, so we made more modifications. We made many attempts, and our group never. but we ran out of time and didn't finish.

Straw bridges

Today we created straw bridges. Without triangles, a design will be much weaker, but if you remember to add triangles, your design will be much more stronger. Our group did not work together but it turn out good in the end.We solved lots of problems, And then it was time for the test, We had to put a 1000 block on top of it, Well it was only for a a couple of minutes, but it was all right. But this time we lost.

North shore tornado

Yesterday afternoon, at 3:00pm o clock. The tornado hit Albany in Auckland’s north shore. The tornado struck just as the bells rang after school, but none of the kids got hurt. The tornado made cars fly around and made a car fly into a parking spot.


The tornado was devastating, and trashed the north shore. Everybody was in panic, and chaos struck the city. The people had adrenalin pumping, they were running as fast as they could so they didn't get sucked into the twisting tornado.It caused a lot of damage, at the same time it was pouring with rain.

Straw towers

Today we had a challenge, it was making straw towers, the group with the the tallest tower won the challenge. our teacher got the idea from a video that came from a school in America, the only materials we were aloud to use was, 75 straws, and a roll of tape. Room 13 also did it to introduce us to our new topic for the term”Bigger better faster stronger”.

We split up into groups, and started making our straw towers. Me and my Friends grouped up to make a straw tower, we had lots of ideas, and we kept on moving from the table to the ground, but stayed on the table. Our plan was to start off with a foundation to keep it stable.

But we had a problem, we were running out of time and we were not finished.But in the end me and my groups tower was the tallest out of them all, and we came 1st place, so we took a photo of us with our creation.
